Acworth GA properties is located approximately 40 minutes from Atlanta and is home to more than 22,000 residents. Acworth was apparently a prestigious cotton farming town from the 1890’s to the 1920’s. Like many other towns in Cobb County, Acworth is extremely rich with history. The town was captured by the Union on June 6, 1864 and then burned down by General W.T. Sherman on November 13, 1864. It was essentially left destitute! In 1926, Main Street was paved. Now Acworth Downtown is an epicenter for MANY local, thriving businesses! The city boasts a rich history, a charming downtown, abundant outdoor recreational activities, a vibrant restaurant scene, and an active festival and events calendar. Acworth is one of the best, family-friendly destinations in the Atlanta region. Acworth’s nickname is “The Lake City” due to Lake Acworth being located just two (2) blocks from Downtown Acworth and Lake Allatoona and the Etowah River being voted some of the best family friendly areas in Cobb County.

Acworth, Georgia is a place where you can truly unwind and get a taste of the simple life. Not to say that there isn’t anything to do, or that Acworth is a sleepy little town. The historic downtown is quaint and gives visitors a turn-of the-century vibe, like a discovery just made. But walk into any of the charming buildings that line Main Street, and the quaint notion is replaced by great food prepared by talented chefs, and truly unique boutique businesses. Lake Acworth is just two blocks away with a pristine (well maintained) beach where the kids will be in heaven. You’re welcome in Acworth, and you’re having fun! Acworth is also host to several festivals and events throughout the year. You’re welcome to take your drink with you! Open containers of alcoholic beverages are allowed to be consumed outside in historic downtown Acworth. Just follow a few simple rules.

The median home price in Acworth, Georgia was $399,000 which was up 12% from March 2022.
Average days on market was at nine (9) which is up 50% from March 2022.
Average price per square foot was up 13% and priced at $180. Much like Kennesaw, Acworth is one of those cities where the price per square foot seems to be slow and steady.
Acworth has seen the job market increase by 2.9% over the last year. Future job growth over the next ten years is predicted to be 46.0%, which is higher than the US average of 33.5%.

Acworth schools are spread put and located in Cobb, Cherokee, & Paulding Counties. Harrison High School has earned a 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 College Success Awards. Harrison has a long history of excellence in athletics as one of the most successful and recognized athletics programs in Georgia. Teams have accumulated 210 region championships and 19 State Championships. Allatoona High School has won eight (8) State Championships which include soccer, riflery, football, lacrosse, track, & volleyball! North Cobb High School opened its doors in 1958 and has a magnate program designed for international studies. The Warriors football team went 12-1 in 2022 winning the Region Championships! The Washington Post named Etowah High School in the top 10% of America’s Most Challenging High Schools from 2011-2016. Etowah High School has won State Championships in Basketball, Swimming, Baseball, Golf, & the Academic Bowl.
