Ball Ground is just over six (6) square miles but packs a punch with its small-town community feel.  Only a few miles north of Canton and a short drive to the North Georgia mountains, your family will feel safe and right at home in Ball Ground.  There is a strong sense of peace whether you are shopping in the Downtown Ball Ground area or just stepping out on your front porch.  Some people feel it is a nice step back into history while being only a short drive from shops and attractions the entire family can enjoy.  Ball Ground is a city EXTREMELY proud of our country’s veterans by the love and support they are provided through festivals and events hosted throughout the year.

Ball Ground schools are all located in Cherokee county which was the fastest growing county in 2016-2017 in the metro Atlanta area.  Though Niche.com rates Creekview High School #4 in Cherokee county, US News rates it as #1 in Cherokee County.  Creekview has won several Academic awards, as well as, won State Championships in Volleyball, Baseball, Competitive Cheer, Golf, & Softball.  Cherokee High School has built a much-needed brand new school.  Cherokee High School was built in 1956 and was the first high school in Cherokee county.  With so many people moving to Cherokee County, we expect a LOT of great things in the near future!  The Lyndon Academy is the highest rated school in the Canton area.  According to niche.com, Lyndon is rated #1 in Cherokee County
