Local Attractions
The Mill on Etowah has essentially become the new city center for Canton. Built in 1900, it produced denim until 1981. In 2018, the property was purchased by a group of local developers with intent to revitalize the structure and honor the history of Canton. The Mill on Etowah has invigorated the riverfront with signature restaurants, unique retail spaces and creative office and event space. If the Country Club life is your kind of lifestyle, the two (2) top amenities in Cherokee are in Canton. They are Woodmont County Club and Bridgemill Country Club. Your family will be able to play golf, tennis, or pickleball at either of these two amazing clubs. The water park alone at Bridgemill is worth checking out!

The following are statistics according to the FMLS, which is a platform for Canton Real Estate Agents, as of March 2023.
- The median home price in Canton, Georgia was $470,000 which was up 13% from March 2022.
- Home sales were up an AMAZING 70% but new listings have recently been on the decline of almost 3%.
- Considering days on market averaged around four (4) days earlier in 2022, days on market in March of this year was eleven (11) days which is higher than most surrounding areas.
- Average price per square foot is still increasing though. Up 17%, the average price per square foot is $192.
Canton Georgia is growing almost daily so this area is a great investment for a family wanting to grow with it.
Canton School Ratings
Canton schools are all located in Cherokee county which was the fastest growing county in 2016-2017 in the metro Atlanta area. Though Niche.com rates Creekview High School #4 in Cherokee county, US News rates it as #1 in Cherokee County. The first senior class graduated in 2009 with the school continuing to gain momentum in academics, arts, sports, etc. Creekview has won several Academic awards, as well as, won State Championships in Volleyball, Baseball, Competitive Cheer, Golf, & Softball. Cherokee High School has built a much-needed brand new school. Cherokee High School was built in 1956 and was the first high school in Cherokee county. With so many people moving to Cherokee County, we expect a LOT of great things in the near future! Sequoyah High School first opened in 1990 and is a AAAA school. They have won State Championships in Volleyball and Wrestling. The Lyndon Academy is the highest rated school in the Canton area. According to niche.com, Lyndon is rated #1 in Cherokee County
