The Enriched Lifestyle of Kennesaw

Kennesaw GA properties hold some unique opportunities for families who love nature, history, and the college life!  Kennesaw GA is located approximately 30 minutes North of Atlanta, GA and home of the Kennesaw State University Owls!  The local population of Kennesaw GA is just over 34,000 residents which does not include the Kennesaw State University student housing. Kennesaw is known for its “small town charm with big city amenities” and it shows in the continuing growth!  People who live and visit Kennesaw get a true feel of its historical routes when visiting Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park which encompasses many historic areas that were part of the Atlanta Campaign of the Civil War in which over 67,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, or captured. A sometimes often unknown fact is in 1982, Kennesaw passed the ordinance that “In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm…”.  We will leave it up to you as to whether this law has had a positive impact or not.  Many Kennesaw GA residents feel it does with only one murder in the last six years and a violent crime rate of below 2%.  Many Kennesaw residents believe Kennesaw GA is one of the safest cities to live in Georgia.  Just ask Jason Fleeman’s parents.  They have lived there for almost half a century!
