The Enriched Lifestyle of Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs is considered “an inner ring suburb of Atlanta”. Up until 2005, Sandy Springs WAS Atlanta. The city’s population is almost 110,000 making it Georgia’s 7th largest city. Sandy Springs is home to several big-name companies which include UPS, Cox Communications, and Mercedes-Benz USA. The Chattahoochee River connects Sandy Springs with Roswell & Marietta. The City Center of Sandy Springs opened in May 2018 creating a safe and welcoming area for all residents. The City Center has become the “live, work, play” for much of the Sandy Springs community!
Local Attractions
Sandy Springs is a quaint community with lots to do! The new City Center is AMAZING but keep in mind parking is going to suck especially around lunch and dinner times! With over 950 acres of parks & greenways, the family will always be able to spend time together. Morgan Falls Overlook Park is a great place to go paddleboarding, enjoy a hike, or have a picnic while enjoying the scenic views. Sandy Springs Tennis Center is Atlanta’s Premier Tennis Center with 22 hard, 4 clay and 8 permanent pickleball courts. Regarding shopping and restaurants, there really are WAY TOO MANY to mention, but we will share some of our personal favorites below!

The following are statistics according to the FMLS, which is a platform for Sandy Springs Real Estate Agents, as of March 2023.
- The median home price in Sandy Springs, Georgia was $578,000 which was up just over 10% from March 2022.
- Home sales were up by 4%, but new listings were down 18%.
- Average days on market was eight (8) which is in line with days on market from earlier in early 2022.
- Average price per square foot was up 13% and priced at $221.
- The city of Sandy Springs broke away from Roswell & Atlanta in 2005 and is now considered the 2nd largest incorporated city in the Metro-Atlanta area.
Sandy Springs is an AMAZING place to “Live, Work, & Play”! This is not just because of the continued growth and value. It is also where Highway 285 & Highway 400 meet. This may be great access to highways that will direct you to anywhere in Georgia. However, it is also where all Atlanta traffic meets and frustrates many commuters. Many Sandy Springs residents believe the traffic is worth it though. That says a LOT about how much people LOVE living in Sandy Springs!
Sandy Springs School Ratings
Sandy Springs schools are located in Fulton County. North Springs High School is the only magnet school in the Fulton County school system that offers both arts and sciences. Notable alumni of North Springs High School are Usher, Channing Crowder, Jordan Hill, Raven Symone, John Schneider just to name a few. Riverwood High School is home to the 2016 Soccer State Championships! Sandy Springs is home to several of Georgia’s highest rated private schools as well (See below).
